The first building of its type in downtown Eugene, "The Tate" includes street level offices and five floors for 47 single-level condominiums.  Bergsund DeLaney, as an owner and architect, is part of the development team and created the concept design that won approval from the Planning Commission and City Council. Located near Eugene's new library and transit center, it is the first project in the downtown core for ownership housing, and continues the momentum of Eugene's current development trend; "Housing Downtown".  The building takes advantage of sustainable practices through energy efficiency; e.g. insulation levels, space heating, passive ventilation, efficient lighting and daylighting techniques.  During design development we brought in the Portland firm of SERA Architects specifically because of their experience with concrete buildings of this scale.  Bergsund DeLaney was the consultant architect to SERA.
