Alain Rebeyrol, AIA
Alain joined Bergsund DeLaney Architecture & Planning, PC in 2004. Coming from an architectural firm which focused on industrial, commercial and institutional projects, where he had been working for three years, Alain was delighted to come back to what brought him into Architecture in the first place: Housing.
Alain graduated from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor degree in Architecture in 1994 and a Master of Science in Historic Preservation in 1998 and became a licensed Architect in Oregon in 2008.
Over the years by working on different project types Alain has developed a set of tools that allow him to participate positively in all aspects of building design and construction with a particular emphasis on construction administration. Whenever possible Alain has been known to champion the preservation of the built environment, possibly because of his upbringing amidst the vestiges of the antique world in southern France, as well as the preservation of the natural environment certainly because of his upbringing but also because of deep rooted belief that a careful and measured use of energy and material will not prevent a project from being successful and will prove beneficial to the Owners and the Community at large as well.
Alain is happily married and the father of two mischievous boys who make sure to broaden his horizon on the world beyond the built environment. This might involve using bicycles, beyond the daily commute, and a solid pair of feet to hike the local hills, the Cascades or the coastal trails.
